¶ strange days behind me. working on several projects at once. and as he said its time for priorities and time to jump over.

and than...our friend is coming to visit. to see what ljubljana is all about and what he would like to give. from dan inbetween:

.... instead of first defining what i want to do and then deductively trying to reach that point, i simply start coding on my first ideas, change focus often, start all over again, in short: work inductively. while i refuse the label "artist" due to the various connotations attached to such a word, by now i think this inductive style of working can be safely described as "artistic". be aware that in this line of definition, most open-source developers are artists....

i am definately into left. like said yesterday in a big corporational company if you want to do anything with art you have to realize the attitude of the left.

otherwise its like spring 2001.

aaron :
so, dan has a healthy view. but, as i was telling my friend the other day, we are all the time caught in vicious circles, normally without knowing, and then at same stage recognising them and first being totally blown away by powerlessness we seem to have against them, but if we look closely, in fact, from far away, we suddenly realise how we can lift above the circles and continue on spiral path of life.

in that sense i sometimes find loughable - but not without respect - the problem that a lot of creative people have with the notion of "artist", just because of the connotations that this label has. sooner or later one should be returning to the ultimate source of happiness - the game and creativity of life - and lough at connotations.
[: //]

by by by :
connotations are merely dreads that we produce so not to be simple and honest. an artis or a human being? the "labels " do not tell the "quality" nor the "sensatinon".
so we can just forget the fear of words.
creativety is not someting to be ashamed of it is what you enjoye and nurture shamlessly. to free your spirit of the rational understanding and understand that you think what you are.
[: //]

melon :
i definitevly agree on both aaron's and byby's. but i also understand kind of antiinstitutional position of a creator.
the notion thats interests me is that all open source developers are artists. this is intrestg frm historical point of view, because when they started they surely were Artists according to my art history system. anyway dont forget: life is art and art is life by Georg Mekjunas (fluxus)
