¶ we used to say that rome is an ultimate destination. i am surprised how it reminds me on belgrade. but it is just a form. the content of rome is something else.

i am participating at open samples workshop. one of the crucial subjects is 'to archive, and to protest' project called highnoon.

...check the meeting schetch-notes:

_highnoon is online way to express yourself about the issues targeted at the world information summit in december in geneve.
_it is not only! against world information summit in geneve
_it is a creative protest, providing parallel statements, facts
_dilema between real action and just starting a new project (archive of video activist movies)
_indymedia can't completely satisfy the needs what is going on the site, it shouldn't be only something for providing the documentation. there is the need for different realities. to produce documentaries on people working in the hardware industries...how to present images from these kind of sectors, idea for 24 hour film...this can be highly political
_objectives: new kind of protest (not to go on the street, not to click to shut down the server)...but to upload the content..it is not only to send the delegates, it is not that we are as passive as regular civil society people, it is to create a new archive for various materials about issues that should concern world information summit.
_TO PROMOTE 'THE PROJECT' AS A WAY OF PROTEST, not just to stream allover

highly political.

i am thinking of having a short lecture/introduction entitled streaming as a social experience. indirectly i will talk about promoting processual and network art, adressing it to the end users, 'passive' viewers, commmunicating through meatspaces.
