Residence - ready2change

In May and June, the temporary residence - the trailer - will host artists and curators from abroad: [Oliver Kochta] (Helsinki), Francesco Bernardelli (Torino) in Cym (Gradec). In exchange for the free-of-charge lodging, they will test the living and working in conditions created by the informal, temporary, self-sustaining architecture and infrastructure. They will be residing in a trailer to which constructed wetland ? water purifying plant device and solar electric system will be connected. Thus we will establish and verify a system that could be minimally dependent on the existing (prevalent) infrastructures. We want to verify through the residence the possibilities of new infrastructural, organisational and social models and point out to the unresolved issue of artistic residences in Slovenian space. We see the possibility for solving this problem, among other, in the informal and temporary architecture; in other words, in a flexible and economical solution.
